Laura Saldana

Senior Brand Manager, Expert Marketing


Laura grows brands profitably and is a passionate advocate of development and I&D. She leads the Expert omnichannel strategy for Voltaren® and Advil® in the US at GlaxoSmithKline. She is co-lead for CRECE, GSK’s Hispanic ERG.  


Laura joined GSK over 10 years ago. Prior to her Marketing career, she was Finance Director in the Animal Health division. In 2013 she pursued her dream to join the Consumer Health division, leading the innovation pipeline for Voltaren and later becoming Brand Manager for Sensodyne, where she led the digital acceleration for the brand, the development of TV creative and the successful launch of Rapid Relief. To stretch and round her learning, she took on a Shopper & Category Insights role for Oral Health on the Walgreens team (moving to Chicago temporarily) delivering strong market share growth.   


In the ERG space she reignited the Women’s Leadership Initiative after the joint venture between Novartis and GSK in 2015 and became co-lead for the US, growing community partnerships with the GrassROOTS Community Foundation and Dress 4 Success of NJ. In 2019 she relaunched the Hispanic ERG at GSK where she has now grown membership and engagement and established a partnership with HACR. 


She started her career in Mexico city, where she’s originally from, in the field of Finance, working for Procter & Gamble and moved to the US in support of her husband’s career.  


She earned her MBA, with a Marketing Concentration, from the Fuqua School of Business (Duke University) in 2011 and she holds a B.S. in Financial Management from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico). 


Laura and her husband, Piero, along with her two proudly bilingual sons (Andre and Pablo) and dog (Lucca) live in New Jersey.
